Fargo demonstrates that cats can be good at self-packing. When I get a suit of chainmail (and another one for the photographer) I will attempt to pack a cat who does not want to be packed.
Well, you are a brave one for even considering the attempt to pack a cat who does not want to be packed. I have often been accused of attempted suicide when trying to get mine in the carrier to go to the vet. I have never figured out why they will voluntarily waltz in and out of the carrier when I do not need them to get into it. No doubt they read my mind.
I think it would take far more than chain mail to protect you in the event you choose to pack a cat that does not wish to be packed. Didn't you ever see those cartoons where a cat can turn you into sliced meat with one swipe of the claws?
We had a cat when we were kids that packed himself in the trunk of the car as we were getting ready to leave on a trip.... I guess you can never really know a cat's mind.
Self packing is only done by the cat when the cat wants to pack, otherwise it is heresy punishable by scratches.....

ReplyDeleteI think Jade's right. I wouldn't chance it.
ReplyDeleteI do wish I had a Fargo to bury my face in...
Packed cats don't hunt ....
